Honestly, I can't judge. I had easy pregnancies, and stayed home until the very last minute, and left the hospital as soon as I could after delivery- would have left the same day/night if they had let me. Of course I wasn't high risk ever- but I am not a doctor, so I can't judge.

Are you a doctor? I'm not being insulting- I just really don't know what medical recklessness would be in such a situation. I am not a doctor.

If the gossip is true, then her travels weren't reckless at all. They were a mother's attempt to get to the bedside of her daughter who needed her.

>>However, Governor Palin’s official story is one in which you can rightfully question her judgment. <<

Wonk -

Actually, the official story is one that strains credulity to the breaking point. There's simply no way she could have done all she claims to have done after her water broke and still have delivered a healthy baby. Nor would it have made any sense to do so. I say this based on knowledge I've gleaned over the years, not from having studied medicine.

While on the one hand I agree that this is more of a private matter, I also find the fact that she would present such an obviously false story to the world disturbing. Of course, she wasn't expecting to have to present it to the whole world when she concocted it.
