I believe everyone is entitled to their way of life as long as they do not tread on me with their moral values. The gay bashing thing is purely theology, so in that case they are hurting other people for no reason. The abortion issue is a dilemma. There is no objective answer. So people and society have to make an existential decsion. No other choice. Pro life versus pro choice is a decsion the women should have the right to make. And yes, I am a secular humanist and subscribe to no dogma, but would die for freedom and my country. So I would guess that is being pretty spiritual. Look at the middle east if you want to see what happens when religion makes the rules. Give me a secular democracy.
