Palin 53%:Biden 43%--

A new Rasmussen Reports poll finds 53% now have a favorable opinion of Palin:

Palin earns positive reviews from 78% of Republicans, 26% of Democrats and 63% of unaffiliated voters.

By way of comparison, on the day he was selected as Barack Obama’s running mate, Delaware Senator Joseph Biden was viewed favorably by 43% of voters.

Chris, > Ten, we haven't heard your take on the Palin VP choice from McSame. Is she ready to lead on day 1?

It's pretty obvious why she was chosen.

Like I said for a while now, even before Palin was chosen, I think experience is overrated. Otherwise, brain tumor notwithstanding, Ted Kennedy would be the most qualified liberal for the job.

Thus far, looking at her resume, I'm impressed by her potential to lead, even if McCain croaks while in office. I think she's fit for command.

Only problem is her good looks would go to waste. Every president who has taken the office ages very quickly. To paraphrase Yoda, "When eight years of presidency YOU reach, look as good you will not, hmm?"
