Personally, I would look for experience -- like Stan O'Neil, or maybe someone at BSC, or MER, or LEH.........Heck, I bet there are even an army of experienced folks at brokerage firms at BAC..or CIBC, BMO, RBC.......or....C, or Fannie, or....

You can make the list as long as you like. Total experience of those who created the worst financial crisis since 1945?

Now, poor ignernt, inexperienced me....... I saved a bundle, and am positive for the year.......and never lost billions as those folks did.

I am wondering. To those who believe experience is a necessary prelude to success.......where is the former Gov. of NY?

Condor - I think your analogy fails. While no, I would not turn my portfolio over to a level headed 16 year old, I would have no problem turning it over to a well seasoned veteran who is supported by and up and coming younger person. That is exactly what you have in McCain at the top of the ticket with Palin as VP.

On the other hand, on the democratic side, using your analogy, you do have the 16 year old man backed up by a older veteran. That scares me.

If you are trying to make the point that Palin is inexperienced (after only 2 years as a Governor) and it concerns you, then how can you not view Obama's 142 working days as a US Senator as anything but even more inexperienced and have even greater concern?
