:-) Thank you. I don't feel either party, or most people, understand the value of mothers who actually mother their new borns. Mothering is more than just having the baby and turning it over to child care, just as fathering is more than insemination. Luckily since no one represents my views I never have to worry about leaving the dems because they don't appreciate mothers enough. No one appreciates them (well you do, and thank you)- but politically it's a third rail with all the women working now. I think I see the problems in other people's kids later in life, when they turn up in my classrooms. Maybe my kids would just have been their perfect wonderful selves without my care, but my husband and I were wild children- without mothers who were home, and we suffered for that, I think. I think I see in the good actions and good choices of my children, evidence of the care and attention I have spent on them- and I am happy.
