William safir is a very right wing pundit. We have learned that both the right and the left stick to talking points which reflect their views. No one ever says: "yes I was wrong and he was right", or "good job". It seems very few people, left or right, are just interested in the plain old truth. The larger part of the problem seems to be the human species seems to sort of gravitate right or left and neither side can see the other groups point of view. The only truely honest people who really try to see the other groups point of view are few and far between. Too bad for the human species in the long run. Joe Scaroborough on the right tries to be fair and Bill Moyers on the left tries to be fair, but even there both have a hard time seeing the other persons point of view. And they really try. Bearcat Bob and I are the perfect examples of people not being able to see the others point of view. He and I have been posting past each other for almsot a decade. Neither of us has a clue regarding the others reality. If the human speies is to survive we have to somehow at least try to make an effort to see each other's point of view. The radical envirnmentalists oppose all mining regardless of how safe it is. And ignore the fact we must have metal to live in the modern world. On this thread I asked a simple question: "what if manmade global wamring is real". No one would touch it, or even say simply, "yes if it is real that is a big problem. No one would discuss it. When I posted about Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell's comments that 9/11 was caused by god lifting his vail of prtection because we were indulging gay's. No one would say a word about it. Both sides just seem to want to fight. Tribal warfare at its worst.
