I prefer Romney, and the Palin pick means I'll probably abstain. My problems with Palin are mainly:

1) Inexperience.

2) I'd rather keep the evangelicals out of the White House. However, as far as evengelicals go she's not bad and I'd reconsider if she had another decade of experience.

Can you tell me who McCain could have picked to make you more like to vote for him?

Holy mackerel, are we picking candidates regardless of party affiliation and platform?

If a choice of V.P. is enough to swing a voter from one party to another then one has to ask if their synapses are functioning properly.

The Republicans and the Democrats are - for possibly the first time in 16 years - offering distinct and distinguishable visions of the future.

Republicans: more fear; more international bullying; more reliance on fossil fuel; more tax cuts for industry, big energy, and the wealthy; more fiddling at the margins with a health care system that is plain out busted; more 'no child left behind' without a dollar to improve it

Democrats: Greater tax burden on the super-rich; more concensus building internationally; more development of renewable resources; an end to trickle-down non-sense; more attention to what politics can do to improve the lives and futures of lower and middle-class americans; attention to the disintegrating infrastructure of AMerican roads, highways, briges, schools, etc.

THIS is the choice one's vote makes.
