Well, now the mayor of ketchican and the press reports indicate that Palin was FOR the bridge to nowhere...and ran her campaign on that pledge. Two days ago she made her first public appearance stating she said "no thanks" to the bridge, making it sound like she always opposed it.

But....she kept the downpayment that the federal government made on the bridge before it was cancelled in storm of criticism about Senator Stevens' pork...

So, even when she said "no thanks"...she kept the money...

Is that a real reformer? (or just a smart politician) <g>
