I looked at the web site you posted and it does not tell us where or how Halcro obtained this information that members of the McCain campaign were traveling to Alaska to conduct an inquiry or vetting? It would be nice if he posted his source so it could be validated as true or not.

Some crackpot's web site isn't enough proof for you? Like the photoshopped photo from earlier today isn't enough proof she's a slut?

Expect more crackpot posts and rumors...

>>And your warning was what? That she should not have been selected?<<

After the Palin VP buzz started, I pointed out ways in which her record is inconsistent with Republican principles. For example, she rammed thru a large tax increase on windfall oil profits. Having her on the ticket risks alienating a major business constituency. (OTOH, BP/COP/XOM would be quite pleased to get her out of Alaska!!! <vbg>)

When Palin's ethics problems arose this summer, I thought her VP prospects were over. After she was picked, I pointed out the ethics investigation problem. My nagging fear is that she wasn't properly vetted and needs to be pulled. We'll know in a few days.

>>I also noted that he had or has an issue with the Governor over milk prices, and state oversight etc.<<

The dairy issue was another Palin action that went against the grain of Republican principles. The subsidized, state-owned dairy was a long time money loser when the Ag board decided to close it in the summer of 2007. Rather than applauding this logical decision, Palin fired the board and replaced it with her own people in a desperate attempt to keep the flailing dairy in business. But the financial bleeding continued for several more months, until the new board finally faced reality and axed the dairy.

>>Without further info than presented in your post, this looks like Andrew Halcro is not a fan of Palin.<<

Yes, but he's not some leftwing flake. Halcro is a businessman and former Republican legislator with fiscally conservative values...

During his term in office, he earned a reputation as a maverick who sometimes put his foot in his mouth, as when his comments on what he saw as Bush (rural) Alaska's dependency on government funding earned him criticism from across the political spectrum. On another occasion, he publicly criticized legislators who were members of his own party for taking too many junkets at taxpayer expense, which resulted in the loss of his position as chair of the House Transportation Committee.
