I pointed out ways in which her record is inconsistent with Republican principles. For example, she rammed thru a large tax increase on windfall oil profits. Having her on the ticket risks alienating a major business constituency. (OTOH, BP/COP/XOM would be quite pleased to get her out of Alaska!!! <vbg>)

McCain wanted someone who is voter committed to go against existing republican principle if necessary. She clearly fits that bill.

You <vbg> means what? Did you agree with the large tax increase on the oil profits? Was this tax increase a part of the give back to the Alaskans?

My understanding of the milk/dairy issue was that Palin wanted an unbiased look before increasing the subsidy. She was concerned with the price of milk in Alaska and its isolation from other milk resources. My impression was that she was weighing the state's need a local milk resource relative to cost and availability versus the impact of the subsidy. When the board she appointed did their work and recommended specific action, she supported them. Is that not correct or am I reading inaccurate information on this issue?
