Thanks for posting that. Gov. Palin knows a lot about military matters, no doubt. Just another reason she and Sen. McCain hit it off from the start. Way back when I was in the USAF, I met fellow airmen who had crewed on the classified electronic surveillance flights out of Elmendorf AFB. They flew down along the coast of the USSR to Japan. It was considered hazardous duty. The one story I remember, though, was about a flight that barely cleared the end of the runway leaving Japan because they were so loaded down with stereo gear and Honda motorcycles!
