I'm just using the Paulites as an example. My argument is that third parties and movements that attract followers (Populisits, Socialists, IWW's) always force the major parties to try and co-opt their programs in order to get the voters back in their tent.

Why are you so willing to bet, if Obama runs the table, this won't be LBJ all over again?

(My hope is that the election will be close enough to keep whomever wins in the center.)
