Yeah but she spent many, many years in Wasilla before making it to the big-time (big by Alaskan standards, nowhere else). That's who she is and what she knows.

Would you put someone like that in charge of a task force on urban poverty and job creation? Would her experience in Wasilla be relevant to anywhere else?

These are big, gaping holes in her resume that the selective comparisons totally omit.

That's the good stuff. NPR had guy from Fairbanks paper on this afternoon asking him about Palin. He explained that the reason Palin has such favorable ratings is that Alaska is in the middle of windfall monies from oil. Alaska might be wise to do what Norway does and reinvest all that money? Anyway, he said he did not think Palin was ready to be VP - nor president. Didn't catch his name - sorry.
