No baby should be casually aborted after viablity, none. But i do understand the vote against that bill which as i remember it eliminated the health of mother caveat. 80% of americans agree on abortion for the most part. If you allow day after pill and require sonograms at the earliest date, and use viablity as a line in the sand except health of mother issues decided by professionals we will be well on our way to reducing them.
So heres a question for you. Dan Quayle said that if his 12 year old daughter was raped, he would insist she have the baby. Most folks would. But what if sarah palins daughter wasnt 17 when she got pregnant and lets say she was 12, do you think the parent should rule abortion in such a case even if there was no rape. Do you think the govt should ban abortion for 12 year girls who get pregnant? Neither evangelicals or feminists have a monopoly on wisdom in this debate.
