It's OK that we have different opinions, right? I mean, serious opinions that are above ridicule. When opinions are accompanied by reasoned analysis and information or commentary that isn't obviously a wild partisan exercise, there is plenty of room for everyone here. Unfortunately, infractions are committed by people from all sides with the usual reactions. I agree that our politics is missing more centrist people on both sides. Many of them left politics in disgust in the last decade as the hyper-spin ideologues took over. I am hopeful that may change next year, but it's just a hope.
