I'm not sure how we got here, but it seems it was meant to be... this passage is a main one... hang on and I find the really really main one -

Mark 16:17-18: "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover"

and this is not a cult. some people believe. and so be it. they do no harm to others.

and MJ - how did we get here? I think... it seems... when people are making fun of beliefs... deep beliefs... odd beliefs... what better than to take it to the extreme and laugh at snake handlers? yet who takes their belief to the most brutal core? look... i am not a christian. perhaps i am a gnostic. i haven't decided and wouldn't say in public anyways. but to have either 'side' laughing at the people who are the core of the vote, the core of the needy... and does not the 'white' snake handler have more in common with the 'black' voodoo woman than 'elite educated' person? i could be mistaken in that. i am often mistaken. smile.
