"I'm buying very selectively here. And what I am buying is
junior/explorers now priced as options (without expiration),
and long dated calls and leaps in the majors -- buying time
with highly levered upside."

Try ARU today. If the Kinross bid fails which everyone I know expects, it could be a good purchase here in the 5's or it it hits the high 4's a steal

20 million ounces of gold and the CEO of ARU got outsmarted by their "friends" at Kinross.

Here is a video explaining it all. Watch carefully the subscript at the very end as it shows where to get good information on this. I think it is worth 20.00/sh

youtube.com

BTW here is Bill Cara's comments on the link above

"
.......The Goldminer stock group indexes lifted a tad this week: $XAU +0.26%, GDX +0.13% and XGD +2.50%.

As I pointed out a week ago, “For the most part this was a Dead Cat Bounce, and the start of a cycle bottom process where the final bottom will be found over the next three months I believe.”

The 50-day MA for $XAU is 168.94 and the 200-day MA is 178.13, and both are falling. It was several weeks ago when the negative cross-over occurred that I became a believer that the Bulls had it wrong.

Nobody ever claimed that the junior gold market isn’t exciting, but now we taken things to a whole new level. This video clip is a must-see. This is actually brilliant improv, putting comedy up to the level of tragedy.

As a trader, I seek to avoid both."

Hey, having the inside 'scoop' is not the same as accurately predicting future events based on a series of preset conditional criteria in fundamentals and or technicals . Lets be honest here; Your position in life gives you a huge leg up on the rest of the 'masses' in that you are in the loop. You have a great ability in writing what you mean. You could easily write books for a living that would please many a reader. But,no one gets it so right so often without having an inside advantage. Fair to say that advantage is being in the know.

Life is treating you well.

Respectfully Slide: Just my Opinion.

Nice graph Slider. I think most pm permabulls have thought about that trend line even if they haven't talked about it.

As far as fiat currencies go though, isn't it really "different this time"?

How house prices could fall by 75% from here – in gold terms

moneyweek.com

The UK pound (£££'s) used to run the world once, then the USD. Hasn't the USD finally run into so much trouble it will fall from grace as the ruling currency?

Gold could hit that trend line again, but would it get bought hard? There are around three billion people at least who will be interested in buying.

All manipulations come to an end eventually. Insurance on pm positions instead of using pm's as insurance sounds sensible to me though :-)
