His point about a McCain vs Bush administration is as interesting as his point about the Palin pick.

The other point he makes indirectly is that McCain the maverick is out of his element as the standard bearer for Republicans.

And he does some subtle damage control by suggesting McCain's quick decision wasn't driven by political expediency or pandering but rather because she reminded him too much of himself - impressive!
