David, > You can buy/sell "options" on any of the political races at intrade.com.

Right now it shows a 12.5% "chance" of Sarah Palin being withdrawn as the choice for running mate.

So if I think that's 12.4 percentage points too high, I should write an "option" and sell it for $1.25? What happens if by some odd chance that really happens? Everyone who bought these "options" are now "rich"? How?

EDIT: Never mind, I just got it.

"If McCain's convention does well"

Is McSame having a convention? Why is it secret?

The best buy right now looks to be McCain to win election at 38. This is clearly a reflection of the current polling data which doesn't take into account that Obama has finished his big convention splash while McCain hasn't had his.

Not really. McCain has been averaging somewhere between 38-40% for the past two months. I check it once a week. With two days left in his convention, I don't see him getting a big bounce and it looks like people are seeing through his 'presidential' posturing with Gustav.
