Re: "AIP membership".

Thanks!

Ya, I saw that item yesterday (the dispute), but with members of the Party claiming her as a member, and claiming her attendance at their state convention some time back, it seemed (while in question) at least an area of valid concern.

So... this much is no longer in any dispute:

Her HUSBAND Todd Palin was twice a registered member of the Alaskan Independence Party — in 1995 and 2000.
And Sarah herself addressed the Alaskan Independence Party's state convention (by video) earlier this year... (which could easily account for some of the attendees who told reporters that they assumed she was a member, since she addressed the convention and her husband was a member).

Of course if we make assumptions like THAT --- just *assuming* that people are members because they address a convention --- well that would make ole Lieberman - currently an 'Independent' - into a Republican. <g>

PS --- as far as the 'Obama smear tactic' part... since he never said anything AT ALL with regard to the AIP, I believe you may have to lay the 'credit' for the charge at someone else's doorstep. <g>

Re: "Anything else you care to present?"

(Well... I don't know if it's 'presenting' anything, but how about a 'shout-out' for the failure rate of 'abstinence-only' sex education?)

PPS --- Do you AGREE with me, GZ, in my stated strong support for the big action Palin took this year (& last year) in the Alaskan natural gas pipeline fight and controversy?

It really, really is the very BIGGEST thing she has done since becoming Governor. And likely is FAR MORE IMPORTANT then any other political action she could have possibly taken in Alaska....
