Ted, McCain's age was never an issue for me. At the age of 72, he shows more life than I've seen in many men 20 years younger.

To claim he's too old for the presidency would be like claiming that Dara Torres is too old to compete in the Olympics. Three silver medals prove otherwise.

This still is the big story liberals have to confront. After i am gone, but you will probably be still around, history may determine that despite duplicity and gross incompetence, iraq was the right war to fight at the right time. I know the story on iraq has not yet been written. But since iraq, al quaeda mystique has eroded as arabs at the center of islam defeated them al quaeda. There have been fewer and fewer attacks. And guess where bin laden is--trapped in South Wahiristan while checked by US, Afganistan and Pakistan. It aint perfect but wahiristan might end up where al quaeda died and bin laden may end up dead with no martyrdom or ceremony. I am not saying its a for sure outcome but its one all folks need to consider and hope for. If it means staying to 2011 as iraq wants us to, so be it. This is an issue folks who have been against the way this war was launched and fought must make themselves cognizant of.
