Lieberman says: "country matters more than party. McCain is the best choice to lead our country forward. He's there because McCain's whole life testifies to one truth--belonging to a party is important but no where near as important as being an American. Only one candidate has actually showed the capability to rise about politics to get things done for the country--McCain. McCain will put our country first. That's the code by which he has lived his entire life, and that's the code he'll carry into the WH next Jan. McCain helped organize the 9/11 Commission and national security reforms that have made every American safe since then. God only made one John McCain and he is his own man. He's not a go along politician--if John McCain is just another partisan Repub then I'm[Lieberman] Michael Moore's fav Democrat. Eloquence is no substitute for a record in these crucial times for America. Gov Palin like McCain is a reformer. She reached across party lines to get things done. John can count on her to get things done in Wash. The real ticket for change this year is the McCain-Palin ticket. Wash bureaucrats and power brokers could not build a pen that could hold these two mavericks. They'll fight for you, the American people. That's what the country needs most right now. We have dangerous enemies in the world. We need more national unity--not party unity. We're a nation at war. When others were silent about the war in Iraq, McCain had the guts to sound the alarm about mistakes. Others wanted to retreat, when Obama was voting to cut funds for American troops on the battlefield, McCain had the courage to support the surge and because of that the troops are coming home in honor. My friends I've had the pleasure of travelling the world with John and I can tell you how much he is respected and liked by leaders across the globe. Our allies respect him and our enemies will fear him. Joe speaks directly to dems and Indes: many of you are frustrated by politics today. You may never have voted for a Repub and frankly in an ordinary election you never would, but this is not an ordinary election and not ordinary times. Trust me, McCain is not an ordinary candidate. You may not agree with him on every issue, but he will be straight with you and you can count on him as Pres to be a restless reformer who'll clean up DC and get our gov working for all the American people. I want to ask you no matter which affiliation, this year vote for the person best for the country not for the party you happen to belong to. Vote for the leader who since 17yrs old first took an oath to defend the Constitution--I appeal to you let's come together this yr to make a great American patriot out next president--John McCain.
