"They were provoked by the United States of America!" I was dumbfounded. I looked at my wife, she looked at me. I asked, "How's that?"

The rest of the post aside (which was entertaining and informative) I've had a few of these moments recently. About various subjects. I'm often surprised by some of the stuff people believe and generally try to keep my own thoughts to myself out of self defense, plus some of it takes me by surprise to such an extent that my mental state can only be described as sputtering, not the best place from which to launch a snappy comeback.

Do you know another place even different time where they run a nice country and all and it was not democracy? If you give a straight answer to this question, well, can you or anybody think of one? There may be a bunch , nothing comes to mind,
