I remember the incident, and for the first time in my life I defended "The Former Peanut Farmer'' over the attack, much to my embarrassment. But I think it was the bloggers who took his comment out of context, not conservative media. And you make a good point. Bill is NOT above reproach, and we don't all have to agree, but I haven't seen a lot of fawning adulation directed his way. ( I really don't care if someone fawns over Bill O' either............that is childish behavior imo.) As a matter of fact I didn't like him at all when I first started watching him because of his bloviating style, but I've developed a large measure of respect for him simply because he sticks to his principles, and many of those principles are principles I support. ;) Neeka, did you notice when Jimmy Carter said "black boy" and foaming at the mouth RRR types misquoted him?
