I feel sorry for the Palin's. Their situation, whatever it is, is going to attract the nutjobs of all stripes. And they just aren't equipped to deal with it. I am not sure anyone is, but...

I think this maybe a case of being a little too ambitious for her own good. There are enough family issues floating around that this may not be the best time to run for the vice presidency.
