Winning the war in iraq is seemingly happening according to NYT reporter Dexter Filkins. I posted his article twice yesterday with no comments. My view is that despite the deceptions in getting into this war not to mention the gross incompetence of this admin in fighting this war, if we are somehow able to pull off a victory in iraq, this could constitute a major victory and trap al quaeda in its hole in wahiristran where if we play our cards right they will wither and die. Beloved arabia has rejected them and defeated them. Not us but sunni arabs. That could be the biggest story to come out of the war. Both mccain and obama need to take this into account. McCains 100 year stay not necessary and obamas 14 month pullout may need some tweaking.
