What a horrible way of portraying a baby, even an unplanned one.

Would you like to rephrase and say that babies should be looked upon as a HUGE responsibility, that maybe it should also spur teens and single adults to act more responsibly?

Why is Palin reinforcing her daughter's bad behavior by parading she and the father on the national stage? What an embarrassment. Sh*t happens but then you don't wrap in gold paper and present as a gift.

>Or are you sticking to the "punishment" nonsense?

We might think of it as a responsibility, looking at it from the perspective of people who have never had to deal with having kids and probably wouldn't have a problem supporting one if we had to. But I can certainly understand the perspective of a 17 year old teenager suddenly saddled with a pregnancy and thinking of it as an unfortunate burden, a divine "punishment," if you believe in such things.
