this press flap may help Gov. Palin, by setting up low expectations for her as a knuckle-dragging Neanderthal of some kind.

One thing is certain - the Sarah Palin speech tonight has become "must see" TV. The number of eyeballs watching will be far far more than watched the Slow Joe Biden VP speech and might rival the number that watched the Obama telepromter-assisted rock concert.

That may be all the opportunity she needs.

Tonight will be the best chance she will ever have to break though. Her speech will be the highest rated segment of the convention. The Dems will disparage it, the Republicans will love it. The MSM will knock it. That's a given going in. How well she does with the swing voters will be the key.
