Hi CC

I was looking at AGC's Financial statements and figured they had about 5 mil cash as of Jan 1
Would you please let me know if this is correct and what would be their aprox monthly burn rate.

CJ

Not sure I agree on your view of CPQ, I see it as a PM mine with
some base metal credits that will simply improve the economics of pursuing the gold and silver. For the oxide cap the base metals won't be recovered anyway as I understand it. Meanwhile the oxide and sulphides are richer than Penasquito and the economics at Penasquito would be the envy of any mining company. Furthermore, the massive size makes it a mine that could operate for 2-3 decades which again makes it more attractive to the majors. I guess the downside might be Capex and the cost of fuel and power.

I agree Goldcorp would be the first logical acquisitor. Penoles shares a border with CPQ and we know the north of Repressa extends into Penoles land, so they could be interested. Silver Standard manages CPQ and one wonders if their interest in CPQ may be a temptation to launch themselves up the ladder toward becoming a much bigger producer. Then just about any other major would have to be interested, Barrick is mining out their deposits and the ones they have coming on stream are taking much longer than they may have planned for ie: Pascua Lama. Mexico would be a breeze for them after Pascua Lama. One never really knows who the suitor will be until the takeover is announced!!

CFO will have to prove millions of ozs to be a take over, I would be very surprised if that happened before CPQ is bought.
I agree that Quebec is as good a jurisdiction as could be desired and there is attraction in the purity of its gold only deposit. Any one taking it over has extensive underground access too. Does CFO have Quebec Hydro???

Cheers,
Ogi
