California has the second highest teen pregnancy rate in the nation. One hundred twenty-five pregnancies per 1000 women aged 15-19 occurred in 1997. The national rate is ninety-seven per 1000 women. [22] While the statistics are not good, they don't support your figure of 13% of all CA teenagers get pregnant every year. With that number, you are actually saying over a 1/4 of the teenage girls in CA get pregnant every year......that's highly unlikely. BTW thanks for the link.
