I flipped back and forth between Fox and CNN this morning. Fox showed parts of his speech that were fun and philosophical in support of McCain and Palin. The commentators were all saying it was a good enough speech to have gotten Thompson the job, had he spoken as well during his own campaign. CNN said the same thing about how he would have been a better candidate had he come across as effective during his campaign, but they made it look like the whole speech was an attack on Obama. I saw the speech and my own opinion was that it was remarkable and well balanced.
