I plan to watch the last episode of Hard Knocks on HBO tonight at 10PM

I guess can't bring yourself to watch the Spectre!

I think after the conventions (with the Palin pick) the difference between McCain & Bush'04 and Obama&Kerry'04 will disappear. In the last Columbus dispatch poll McCain had 77% of the Bush votes and Obama only 73% of the Kerry votes

Dale -

I'm watching the RNC, and wishing I had decided to do something else instead. I just had to pause Giuliani's speech because I needed a break from the snide mockery. He's always been repellent to me.

What's worse, though, is the distortion of the facts and repetition of so many old attacks. At one point he said that he was going to go into specifics about how John McCain was going to lead this country, but ended up spouting a few banal generalities instead.

Then he started going after the Democrats because they hadn't used the phrase "Islamic Terrorism" during their convention, nor had they talked much about Al Qaeda, which he called "the greatest threat to our country." That was when I put him on pause, and decided to check in here.

The delegates are eating it up, though. They're really happy. Too bad that isn't going to last for them. They're going down this year. If the rest of the convention is like this, it will not speak to independents. Only to the Republican base.
