No. Your body won't heal itself every time. I just can't let that one go. In middle school I ripped all the soft tissue in my left leg when high jumping. For the rest of my life that ankle twisted, and my knee cap constantly popped out. Then I had to have orthoscopic surgery in my 40's and I almost died.

So no, I don't think the injuries are fabulous. I think they can cripple you for life- and I don't see the point. It may not cripple you immediately, it may just make your old age unbearably painful, but is seems pretty risky to me. Dealing with physical pain sucks- especially in a country where they won't give you good drugs.
