probably not which is Exactly the point you don't seem to get. 1. McCain can't win with "only the base" 2. McCain needs independents/swing voters 3. There is a disaffected group of swing voters available right now called Hillary PUMAs, these are people dissatisfied that Obama didn't pick Hillary as VP. 4. McCain thinks "hmm if I get those Hillary PUMAs I can WIN!" 5. Hillary PUMAs are the same people who frequent Emily's list See a problem here? If McCain wanted the Hillary PUMAs, which he has said he needs to WIN, he also needed to pick somebody acceptable to EMILYS LIST. The fact that he picked this blowhard Hooters waitress that is unpopular with working women, means McCain will LOSE. End of story. Sorry you can't connect the dots.
