I presume they are idiots- and dems, reps and independents all have a nice supply of those, so it would be hard to tell which party owns these particular idiots. But the thing is, why would ANYONE ask with a straight face what you, JohnM, think of such things. In all your posts you have always made clear you are not much interested in people who commit violence to get their own way. I'm not sure why anyone would ask anyone on this thread such a question. I don't think there's anyone on this thread who likes the idea of anarchists smashing up windows and cars, but I would have been absolutely certain it wasn't something you approved of. Some questions are just quite clearly bad faith, with a sharp stick buried in them.

I ask you, because you are a more thoughtful respondent than some I might have addressed it to. My question is "Why do these kinds of people show up at the Republican conventions, when Dan Quayle speaks at Pioneer Square, and other such venues, and never at the democrat gatherings?" No, I'm not claiming that they are Obama supporters nor that Obama buys into their anarchy, and as my question reveals to the discriminating reader, I said 'presumably' because I simply do not know. Presumably they are anti-McCain, which isn't to say that they are necessarily pro-Obama. I have no evidence that they are Obama supporters, but I'm wondering: Why do anarchists go after McCain but not Obama? It's an interesting question, don't you think? I mean, why does Obama have people like Rev. Wright and Father Pfleger in his penumbra? It makes one wonder. Is he a lamp light attracting moths? I don't get it. Nobody showed up at the Democrat convention breaking windows and such like. What gives?
