Sarah Palin's speech

I hate to watch political speeches. I watched this one. And I would watch another by her in a "Hawaiian second."

[That's a New York Minute.] :>)

she is the political daughter of Ronald Reagan. Same poise, same philosophy, same pride in small town roots & being hated by the media

Very true. And also, an interesting combination of strength and humility. When she says that she is out not to promote herself but to serve, one gets a feeling that it is true. That doesn't happen very often when listening to Pols.

She was just brilliant, especially so as it's the largest crowd she had spoken to....Watch her eyes while she's talking...she owns what she is saying...no wavering, she's relaxed and smiles, and then just very briefly, squints just a tiny bit before she delivers the mildly appearing slap upside the head to whomever she is referring to....We've all watched LOTS of speakers before, but IMO, she commanded the stage, as well as the audience!

We know she did, because even most of the Democrats seemed to think she did as well...including Howard Wolfson, who spoke afterwards on FOX. Mathews on MSNBC had the permanently knitted eyebrows, and looked worried.

Watch the men and women in the audience....you will see many young people who were captured by Palin....and watch her kids....they are obviously very proud of her... I appreciated her husband waving to the crowd from the stage....Laura Ingraham did as well....She said that "First Dude" showed his appreciation of her by that gesture.

It would be nice to believe that after tonight, the media would realize that they should try harder to be professionals .....she outclassed them tonight, and that came through loud and clear!
