Liberalism does not promote nationalism, patriotism, nor militarism. Conservatism does. Agree, as a general rule; liberals are the last place you'd look for patriotism, nationalism, or conservatism. But fascism isn't indicated by the existence of these three conditions. IF you want to find the seeds of fascism in the United States, look long and hard at the administrations of Woodrow Wilson and FDR. Yes, you'll find nationalism, patriotism and militarism. But you'll also find the key foundational elements of fascism that are essential to its existence. Fascism is fundamentally, at its core, a liberal philosophy. You really don't want to go there, I don't think.
