The TV toadies are relaying the Democratic response that nothing was said about improving the economy. The mind-numbed are unable to understand that reducing government and unwise regulations are exactly about that.

As opposed to imposition of the National Socialist Worker's Paradise. Five or six generations of government schools leave most unable to recognize repackaged fascism, or understand the consequences.
