I was a Hillary supporter but more of a fence sitter on many social issues. I probably am better suited to be among the "independent" crowd. My Dad was in the lumber business, I work in medical research and I was once a member of Birthright, an anti-abortion group. I do see many sides of most arguments and hate to follow anyone in a locked step pattern. Palin does appeal to women like myself and I think it's time for more women to be nearer the top in an overt manner. ( We've been running things for years but keep that a secret!) The first women to crack the ceiling will need to have thick skin and will need to love the fight. The trail blazers may seem threatening to many men and those men will do their best to keep them encased in a sexist world.
