That seems to be the (R) message. Washington isn't working.

Sure, we f*cked it up, we admit it. Terrible president, dumbass foreign wars, toe-tapping, drunken sailor spending congress stealing with both hands, and it was pretty much ALL us.

But, just give us another chance and we'll fix it. We promise! We've CHANGED!

Unemployment is ratcheting up; commodities are dropping like rocks [ignore the pun] because China has stopped buying post Olympics; GM's and Ford's sales were down 20% and 29% respectively; oil and natural gas inventories are piling up because they are not be used; consumer confidence is around the mid 50s.....as low as I've ever seen it, etc.

Do I hear? Its the economy, stupid?
