So many of the self-styled crusading "cyber sleupps" are silent about how hedge funds dominate and manipulate the markets, particularly when it comes to manipulative shorting.

I remember some very hypocritical commentary on message boards defending the typical huge payments, both percentage of assets and high percentage on profits (often 1%-3% of assets and up to 25% of profits.)

Now with many of these emperors being exposed as performance challenged, we see hedge funds being liquidated. After all, with no profits, they lose the lions share of the huge administrators' payout.

Much easier to say "never mind," let investors take losses, and start again with a new fund. Very little regulation and it now comes back to haunt the investing public in so many ways.
