Carly Fiorina? This in not a partisan comment. Really. But what has this woman done to deserve to speak at a national convention of either party. She helped bring the hugely successful IPO of Lucent, but also helped turn the co. into a piece of crap that nearly went belly up. Then, she went to Hewlett and nearly drove a truly great company into the toilet. She presided over the merger with Compaq, which was a disaster. After being fired, she has accomplished nothing that I know of. She has appeared on Fox News, but we don't see Sean Hannity or Bill O'Reilly speaking at the convention. And she did help McCain. Was that all it took to get to the podium?

The GOP has a right to pick any speaker they want, but to portray her as a successful business woman seems a bit farfetched to me. A famous business woman, yes. Successful, no.

That being said, she was a lot more successful in business than George W. Bush. But Bush was presented as a Governor of our third largest state, not as a businessman.
