i think mccain will get a bounce from this. At minimum it energized the base and possibly the reagan democrats. McCain needs to run more like 2000 mccain---anti-establishment and big tent. If he does that and if palin holds up we could have a race again.

McCain's biggest problem today is overcoming the media bias. Palin did great, but that doesn't offset the constant bashing from CNN's ENTIRE CREW, Chris Matthews & Olberman, Tom Brokow, NYT, etc. This US magazine thing ought to be criminal.

NYT actually ran three negative Palin stories on the front page one day last week -- before one damned thing was known about her. It is really hard to fight that kind of bias.

I believe if the media treats them fairly, McCain will take care of himself.

It is going to be interesting to see whether O'Reilly has the balls to actually CONFRONT Obama tonight with some of his BS.
