Okay. For me, I've meant RIO = Brazilian miner Vale do Rio Doce, aka Vale.

COMPANHIA VALE ADS (RIO) (http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=rio ) - Now at a 52wk low. I increased my current position by 30% on 8/27/08 at levels about 10% higher. I guess I was a little early. My previous buy was on 4/01/07 at $41 (split adjusted $20.50). Seems like the current prices present a good entry point.

I also have my eye on upping my position in Ultrapetrol (Bahamas) Ltd. (ULTR) (http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=ULTR ) an intermodal shipping company that operate barges, dry bulk and Offshore Supply ships in Brazil. Their offshore supply business should benefit from Brazil's development of the countries offshore oil and NG fields. ULTR doubled the number of barges in their fleet last quarter. The new capacity should allow them to maintain their double digit growth in this business segment. They transport soybeans, paper pulp and fertilizer to and from the inland to the ocean port. This one is close to a 52wk low too.

I want to increase my Sanofi-Aventis (SNY) position and am close to pulling the trigger. This is a Buffet holding and is close to its 52wk low too.

Lots of excellent value buys available but I am waiting for the prices to come to me rather than chasing things in such a sour market.
