Gross made a lot of sense until his own positions ended up on the wrong side of the tracks, with the rest of the herd, and then his tune changed dramatically to one of pleas for taxpayer access. Just another wall street player who yearns for private winnings and his wrong-way bets to be borne by the public, for their own good.

Pimco likes to talk out of both sides of their mouth. Gross is on TV right now saying they won't buy any more bank capital. Apart from a $2 billion offering from WFC, I wasn't aware that any financial institution was looking to raise new capital except for FRE. It's very weir for him to beg Paulson to fund the GSE's with a new balance sheet.
