On days like today when the DOW is down > 399 points, there aren't many biotech stocks moving up.

One that is doing that, apparently in anticipation of the webcast on Wed next week is AVGN.<g>

O.T. again

The DOW is still holding above the 11000 support level & still > 300 poits above the Jul 15 L of 10731 <g>

The BAC-MER deal has BAC down $5 to $28.60 although Ken says it was an opportunity of a lifetime, much better than all his previous acquisitions.<g>

MER's loss for this Yr. was expected again to be >$10 but now is holding above $20 <g>

With LEH, AIG, WM,WB & others now in the limelight will see if the S&P can hold the 1200 level & the NAZ stay above the 2200, which is still above its March 17 L of 2155

AIG traded this morning at $5.82 around 0.35xBV in spite of its supposed CF around $9.60 <g>

AIG loss for this Yr. was expected around $0.50 but the 'recovery' in 2009 was expected to be only around $4, which is
less than the $5.88 it earned in 2006 <g>

At any rate, as I said before, it seems that at the present time is still better to'put your trust in God, and keep your powder dry'

As I was writing I see the market is trying to rally some, maybe with the help of the President's report on the economy.<g>
