What evidence are you seeing of this ground swell? Also, how do you think Palin did last night, minus the low expectations? I didn't watch, both because of Back to School night and because I'm not neutral enough to watch something like that with an open mind. But, outside of the base, do you think she appealed enough to undecideds? Btw: I thought Biden did a very so-so job in his speech. I'd give him a C or even C- (whereas I felt Obama was an A, Hillary an A-, and Bill a B). I think that's why they gave him a short 'do-over' speech right before Obama spoke. He did better the second time. I believe Biden will have a tough time debating Palin, because of expectations and the vice he'll be trapped in (left wanting him to tear her down, middle wanting some civility). It will be very interesting...
