I used to have a Garand - what a heavy lump it was! Those WW II guys had to be real men to lug those things around. Part of my departed dad's personal arsenal.

That people are "irrationally" clinging to guns and religion because of "bitterness" and "frustration".

I "cling" to them because they're tools and collectable, some I have are worth a great deal of money - they are also pieces of history - like my M1 Carbines or Garand.
