for some of my relatives that are longtime moderate Republicans (that sometimes crossover) the type of woman VP running mate that they would have been impressed with is a Meg Whitman (the former CEO of eBay) -- it would have to be someone who has outstanding credentials and someone who is open-minded and somewhat moderate on the social views.

I have other aunts and uncles (out in Boston and San Francisco) and they are all long time Democrats -- they are all very active supporters of the Obama campaign too.

Jim, are you not seeing all the other things Palin has done that are disturbing?

She is exactly like Bush and MCCain. She lies and is vindictive. No one here gives a damn about how many kids she has or what her family has done.

It is what she has done as a public offical that disturbs us.

For me, the thing I find most offensive, is her trying to have the local librarian fired because she would not remove books SHE found offensive.

That goes to the very core of our freedom and democracy

Doesn't that bother you?

The whole town stood up agaisnt her on that one and doesn't that say it all?
