When I was an apartment manager near UT, I had a couple of African students, one of whom, far from being descended from slaves, was descended from African royalty. (he showed me some photos) Both those guys were some seriously "uppity" black guys!

I also had a couple of typical white deep south racist boys. The "uppity" Africans really freaked them out! They'd never encountered black "boys" with attitudes like that.

"Just from what I've seen"... in other words they are black. I wonder if they would say the same about Sarah? She is certainly "uppity", which the Reps are celebrating.
